Just two short days after Martin Demichelis claimed that if he put in a performance like John Terry did against Germany he wouldn’t be able to go back to his country he did exactly that. Demichelis did his best to emulate Terry’s performance as he watched from the pitch and indeed helped Germany to get the four goals it would take to make him eat his words.

But, it’s important to remember that Martin Demichelis is a person too. The poor chap is probably out trudging the streets of Cape Town pondering his very existence and wondering why he ever opened his big mouth in the first place.
