Transfer Rumours – 9 July 2010
July 9th, 2010 by DaveHere we are with the first of a regular feature here at football-banter.com. It’s the transfer rumours section. And with out further ado here are this weeks…
Manchester United seem to be linked with everyone and anyone that’s had a good World Cup. The latest of which are Inter Milan‘s Wesley Sneijder (not for sale) and Werder Bremen‘s Mesut Ozil (possibility).
Chelsea are rumoured to be making a move for Fernando Torres, presumably they believe after a shocking World Cup and an injury dogged season Torres could be a cut price bargain. Their hopes probably rest on whether Manchester City decide to wade in or not. Also on the list of potentials for Chelsea is Bastian Schweinsteiger.
Joe Cole continues to linked with Spurs. Talks are said to be at an advanced stage over a move that will see Cole earning in excess of £100,000/week
Barcelona admit they may have to sell Zlatan Ibrahimovic to finance a move for Arsenal’s Cesc Fabregas. Could there be a swap deal on the horizon? Or are they about to make a shock move for Tottenham’s Wilson Palacios?
Real Madrid and their bottomless pit of cash are interested in (take a deep breath) Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard, Ashley Cole and Michael Ballack. Interesting to see if any of these come off as Jose Mourinho isn’t usually one for signing big name players.
That’s all for this week
