Suarez Avoids Handshake With Evra
February 12th, 2012 by DaveLiverpool FC and Luis Suarez once again found themselves at the centre of another PR disaster yesterday after Luis Suarez deliberately avoided shaking Patrice Evra’s hand moments before kick off in their match against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

It had been hoped that the pre-match handshake would draw a line under the incident following Suarez’s return from his eight game ban. It’s understood that Suarez had said he was going to shake Evra’s hand to Liverpool officials, clearly though the Uruguayan has still got a problem with the frenchman.
Evra, visibly charged up for the match was over exuberant in his celebrations at the end of the game following United’s 2-1 victory, deliberately seeking out Suarez and celebrating in front of him.
Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson was stunned and claimed that Suarez shouldn’t play for Liverpool ever again in an interview after the game. Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish took a leaf out of Arsene Wenger’s book and rather pathetically claimed he had not seen, and had no knowledge it had happened.
