TalkSport presenter and former footballer Stan Collymore was subjected to racist abuse on Twitter last night while presenting his radio show.

Collymore was in a defiant mood though and took evidence of the offensive tweets and reported the incident to the police after finishing his show for the evening.

The twitter user who seemed to be using his real name to broadcast the racist remarks attempted to delete the tweets but Collymore had ready pre-empted him. Shortly after the users account was suspended or deleted.

Collymore received a wave of supporting tweets following his stance against the user.
