The FA Cup Returns

February 14th, 2012 by

It’s hard to get excited about The FA Cup these days, the big clubs don’t take it seriously, even some of the small clubs put out weakened teams and no matter how hard the BBC try to tell us it’s full of romance, we can’t help but think the romance is dead.

We have however found a way to at least add some interest to The FA Cup. Gambling. The FA Cup does throw up some interesting fixtures and the opportunity to make a few quid from your predictions, here are the value bets from this weekend’s fixtures…

Birmingham are 10/1 to beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and if Chelsea’s current form is anything to go by then there could be some value in that.

Gus Poyet’s Brighton are taking on Liverpool at Anfield and despite Liverpool’s decent results in the cup lately, Brighton just may shock Liverpool’s expected weakened team. 11/1 for a Brighton win, or 4/1 for the draw.

It took a last minute goal for Arsenal to beat Sunderland at the weekend. A repeat fixture this weekend could see Sunderland triumph – at 21/10 it might be worth a punt.

That’s about all the value we see this weekend with the FA Cup games – all the odds came from Paddy Power in which we are no way affilliated! There are other sports-betting sites that also provide this kind of offer like bwin, bet365 and betfair.
